A new on-line application procedure is now to be followed to participate to the DG ECHO training sessions. The new online procedure is called MANTRA and is fully managed by punto.sud.
Applicants are requested to select the training sessions and may also assign them a priority, following to their interest.
With this new procedure, DG ECHO intends to better meet the needs of its partners, leaving them to select the courses they wish to attend among those scheduled. The training program and its actual schedule will be established basing on the Applicants’ preferences and it will be therefore only confirmed at the end of the application period (e.g. in case all applicants wish to follow one of the training module, the training program for that specific location will only include that module that may be repeated as many times as requested within the timing assigned by DG ECHO).
We kindly ask Applicants to consult the program of the trainings to better identify the contents and the target group.
Please send any inquires on training issues to:echo-fpa-training@dgecho-partners-helpdesk.eu

(1) 3-day General Training FPA “Working with DG ECHO” in Bangkok and Nairobi
This 3-day course provides an overview of the management (proposal, implementation and completion) of DG ECHO Actions and governing contractual and financial procedures, with a special focus on the closing of the Action: Final Reporting and Audit.
Here the detailed instructions and a screencast with the presentation of this new method. The instructions will be repeated also in every page of the MANTRA system.
The following is a short description of Mantra and of its sections:
In HOME there are two sections:
Here you find the list of the available locations with the scheduled training period. You may apply to the training sessions scheduled in the locations by clicking on “APPLY NOW”, to enter the on-line application form.
Please note the deadline: you may only make your selection to the training sessions scheduled in any location within the deadline.
After the deadline, you may apply to one of the training sessions under the section “LAST MINUTE COURSES” (see below).
All the fields of the Application Form are mandatory and we would like to underline the following:
- your Headquarters’ email: before the beginning of any training session, the system will send to your Headquarters the list of the staff whose participation to the training courses has been confirmed. Be sure to write the email address of the person at your HQ that must be informed.
- Course(s) you wish to attend: please enter your preferred option(s).
In case you just want to attend one training just fill in the field ‘first course’; in case you intend to attend, for instance, course A (as priority 1) and course B (as priority 2), enter ‘course A’ under ‘First course’ and ‘course B’ under ‘second course’.
You will then receive an automatic message confirming only that you have applied for a particular location and your options regarding the training courses.
Only after the end of the application period, the DG ECHO Helpdesk will be able to confirm the schedule on the training sessions according to the most selected courses and will be in the position to confirm the registrations to the Partners accordingly.
As usual, partners are confirmed their participation to the training sessions by email, not later than 3 weeks before the starting of the training.
This section lists the training courses that have been previously selected by Partners and for which places are still available after the end of the application period. If you wish, you may apply, by clicking on “apply now”. You will receive a message confirming your participation.
In case you do not receive any email, your participation has not been confirmed.
