Step-by-step guide EU Academy DOWNLOAD

The newly launched DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community is now accessible on the EU Academy platform.

The EU Academy platform hosts content of open and restricted nature provided by the EU Institutions and their partners and by users of the platform. EU Academy learning communities represent a special content type on the EU Academy platform targeting formal communities which have been set up and resourced specifically by the EU Institutions to facilitate peer to peer knowledge exchange and learning among external professionals, in pursuit of the building of capacities and competencies of specific audiences in specific areas of EU policy.

The DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community hosts all courses provided by DG ECHO on administrative and managerial procedures within the context of DG ECHO Partnerships, along with DG ECHO policies and best practices for implementing Humanitarian Aid projects. This training programme caters to a diverse audience, including the staff of DG ECHO certified NGOs and their (local and international) implementing partners, International Organizations (including UN agencies), Member States Specialized Agencies (MSSAs), DG ECHO staff, other relevant individuals in Member States Administrations, and potential candidate NGOs. Academics and students can also derive benefits from select courses that are open to the entire community.

Please note that the DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community will soon replace the ELSE platform, which will be accessible until May 31, 2024.

To ensure a seamless transition, we encourage you to log in promptly in the DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community using your EU login credentials. If you don’t have an EU login account, please create one, following these instructions.

Upon your initial login, you will be prompted to complete an application form to gain access to courses. Following the analysis of your application, you will be approved as a member of the DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community and assigned to a specific group (e.g., DG ECHO staff, DG ECHO partner). Subsequently, you will receive a notification confirming your enrolment in the community and access to relevant courses.

Please note that virtual classroom sessions scheduled until April 30, 2024, along with their registration and enrolment processes, will continue to be delivered on the ELSE platform. This also applies to the face-to-face training session scheduled for May 22-23-24, 2024, in Milan.

Once you will become a member, you will be able to use your EU login to access the community (from your dashboard in the EU Academy platform) and to subscribe to eLearning modules, virtual classroom and face-to-face training sessions.

We look forward to your active participation in the DG ECHO Humanitarian Aid learning community!
