PRE-FINANCING

Unless otherwise foreseen, an amount of 80% of the European Union's contribution to the Action is given as pre-financing.

The process for the initial pre-financing payment will be launched automatically by DG ECHO upon receipt of the signed Agreement without the need of sending any request for payment. DG ECHO will make the pre-financing payment to the partner within 30 calendar days following receipt of the signed Agreement or 10 days before (applicable only to HACA 2025) the start of the Implementation Period (whichever is the latest).

Unless otherwise foreseen, Partners do not have to reimburse any interest generated by the pre-financing. They can keep the interest and pledge to use it for humanitarian aid purposes.
