FAQ 170 - According to Article 30.1 of the MGA, “The granting authority may — at any moment — suspend payments, in whole or in part.” Would the suspension be limited to the beneficiary concerned or impact the other co-beneficiaries as well? What happens if the payment suspension concerns the coordinator?

The article states that suspension can apply “for one or more beneficiaries, if [...].” If payments are suspended for one or more beneficiaries, the granting authority will make partial payments for the parts not suspended.

Therefore, the suspension is limited to the beneficiary or beneficiaries concerned.

If the payment suspension concerns the coordinator, the coordinator’s share of the payment will be suspended. The final payment will be made after the suspension period ends. Alternatively, the consortium may appoint another beneficiary as coordinator to receive the payment.

FAQ 112 - It appears that dates are set in the MGA Data Sheet. Does this mean that Partners cannot request a pre-financing payment if 70% of the amount received has been spent?

PREFINANCING

The rule of spending 70% of the pre-financing still applies; however, there are no fixed dates for disbursing additional pre-financing. Please refer to Article 22.3.1 of the MGA for details on requesting additional pre-financing.
